Canine Comfort Meet-and-Greet

Wednesday, Nov 30, 2022

We are excited to announce a partnership with Canine Assisted Therapy, Inc. (C.A.T.), a not-for-profit organization, whose mission is “to improve the health and well-being of children and adults by achieving specific physical, cognitive, social, or emotional goals through the use of certified pet therapy teams.” C.A.T. has an array of amazing dogs that have the potential to provide our students with a wide range of comfort, stress relief, and learning support services.

To introduce our students to C.A.T. and some of their dog teams, we are having a Canine Comfort Meet-and-Greet on December 9th. The event will be held during all lunch periods outside the cafeteria. If a student wishes to briefly meet a dog team, they will have the opportunity to do so. However, participation is voluntary. No student is required to join a group. If a student has allergies or any reservations, please advise your child to stay in the cafeteria. This is merely a brief introduction to C.A.T. and the dog teams and students have no obligation to participate.

We are looking forward to C.A.T. sharing some canine love with our students during the holidays and continuing to offer valuable services to our students going forward. For more information on C.A.T., please see the link to their website.
