Dear A.D. Henderson and FAU High School Parents,

We are excited about the progress of the first phase of construction of our new K-8 academic building and gymnasium. We are extremely grateful to the many parents and community members who have generously supported the development of our new facility through their contribution to the Let’s Build this Together Campaign.  

With our anticipated occupancy in the building in late July, the opening of our new facility necessitates a modification to the 2022-2023 academic calendar to ensure that the facility is ready for our students. You will note a slightly later start date than in years past. The later start date allows for time to transition into the new building, set up new furniture, and technology and equipment. Most importantly, it allows time for our staff to be fully trained and prepared on the new building systems, and classroom and laboratory technology, and to be ready for our students to have an outstanding 2022-2023 school year.

The school calendar was developed in consultation with our faculty and unanimously approved by our School Advisory Board on January 19, 2022.
