Mrs. Kristin Potter-Oliveri, A.D. Henderson English & Speech Teacher, is the 2025 FAU Lab School Teacher of the Year

Superintendent Dr. Joel Herbst and Deputy Superintendent Ms. Gracie Diaz announced Mrs. Kristin Potter-Oliveri as the 2025 FAU Lab School District Teacher of the Year. As the district Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Potter-Oliveri was presented with a gift card and basket from our PTO and will earn a cash award from the Florida Department of Education and compete with other district winners across the state for the Florida Teacher of the Year.

Ms. Potter is an outstanding representative of our faculty. She is a dedicated English/Language Arts and Debate teacher who exemplifies continuous growth and learning for herself and her students. In Ms. Potter’s Teacher of the Year application, she stated, “I am most passionate about teaching debate because it helps students become active, informed citizens who know how to use their voice to create positive change in their communities. My students inspire me every day to become a better teacher for them and the future of our society.”

We are incredibly proud of Mrs. Potter-Oliveri and the two outstanding finalists, Mrs. Cheri Celesti and Mrs. Megan Foster. Through the Teacher of the Year selection process, it was evident to the selection committees how fortunate we are to have such fantastic talent and dedicated teachers at the top of their profession.
