FAU High School Students Recognized as College Board National Hispanic/African American/ Indigenous American Scholars

Wednesday, Sep 08, 2021

The College Board, which administers the PSAT and SAT among its activities, recognizes academic excellence through its National Recognition Programs. Students selected for this prestigious honor can cite it on their college and scholarship applications. In turn, colleges use the listing of this honor as a way of identifying students from underrepresented groups who have excelled on their PSAT/NMSQT and in their classwork.

Every year, nearly 250,000 Hispanic/Latino students take the PSAT/NMSQT. Out of those 250,000 the top 7,000 are recognized.

The following FAU High School students have been designated as College Board National Hispanic/Indigenous/African American Recognition Program Scholars, based on their remarkable academic achievements and outstanding performance on the PSAT. Typically, high school seniors are recognized for their outstanding academic accomplishments during their 11th grade year. This year, several high school juniors are being recognized for their stellar academics during their 10th grade year.

To date, 45% of the FAU High School senior class has already been recognized by National Scholar distinctions (NMSC Commended or Semifinalist and/or College Board National Hispanic American/African American/Indigenous American Scholars)
