Tuesday, Mar 01, 2022
Aman Shaan is a junior at FAU High School – Jupiter Campus, in Partnership with Max Planck Academy. His research journey started in 9th grade when he took the research classes offered at the Boca with Dr. Tift. Through that class, he gained exposure and conducted his first project involving the Investigation of Valuables Left in Vehicles on FAU’s Boca Campus. As a result, his research group presented the project at the OURI symposium that year.
Soon after he joined his current lab that specializes in cryptocurrency and blockchain security, before he transferred to the Jupiter campus. This lab taught him a lot about research and gave him the opportunity to publish some of his own work. Currently, he has a manuscript that has been published in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Advancing Technology for Humanity’s Journal and is in the process of completing another manuscript. He is set to present his published work for the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) Conference in April. He also received the Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry (OURI) grant through the Research Methods 2 class last semester for his current lab.
Outside of formal lab research, he also participated in FAU Wave with the project idea of testing sobriety through the examination of eyes and is currently working towards the completion of this project.
