Chemistry of Cooking
The Chemistry of Cooking Club is a captivating and educational extracurricular program designed for high school and middle school students who have a passion for both Science and culinary arts. Biomedical
Our History Team participates in the International Academic Competitions, which challenge students through fast-paced buzzer-based events in history and geography. The competition includes three stages: an online regional qualifying exam, regional tournaments with multiple buzzer rounds, and the National Championships. Students may compete individually or in teams in the following events: History Bee (Individual), Geography Bee (Individual), U.S. History Bee (Individual), History Bowl (Team), Geography Bowl (Team). During the club, students will prepare and practice for these competitions. These competitions are available both in-person and online, providing students with multiple opportunities to showcase their knowledge and skills throughout the academic year.

Drones
Students compete in "Drones in School" (https://dronesinschool.com) while learning mechanical design, 3D printing, electronics, visual line of sight operations (VSO) flight and first-person video (FPV) flight, business and marketing skills.

ExploraVision
This club is a group research opportunity for students in grade 2-9. Students work online in teams of 2-4 to research a solution to a real world problem.
This club is HYBRID with a combination of optional in-person and virtual meetings. Teams will also sign up for coaching sessions with Mrs. O'Sullivan beyond the club meetings.
Each team will enter their project in the national Exploravision Contest for a chance to win $10,000. All students who enter will get a small prize and certificate.

HOSA
HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a global student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services and several federal and state agencies. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience. HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, middle school, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions.

Junior Thespian Theater
Our Junior Thespian Theatre Club brings performers together each week—6th graders on Tuesdays and 7th/8th graders on Thursdays. Through collaboration, rehearsal, and creative exploration, students strengthen their theatre skills and prepare for District and State competitions. Participants work on a variety of performance categories including monologues, duet and ensemble scenes, solo and group songs, pantomime, and improvisation. Students are responsible for memorizing, blocking, and performing their pieces, which are also showcased in school performances throughout the year! Go Troupe 89509!

Law Studies/Mock Trial
Club members will be examining the American legal system and practice analytical thinking skills, examine trial processes and practices, and learn valuable public speaking skills through engaging in mock trial activities where students will participate in roles like attorney, witness, juror. These club members will use their after school time preparing for the state competition through crafting their opening and closing statements, questioning, and developing their witness characters.

MATE
Students will design and fully build their own ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) from the ground up, learning to solder, use 3D printing, and create designs with CAD software. They will form their own underwater robotics company, develop a marketing plan, build, and document an advanced tele-controlled ROV for competition based on the 2025–26 MATE rules. Through exciting hands-on challenges, they’ll explore real engineering concepts, sharpen their problem-solving skills, and work together to navigate their custom-built creations through the water.

National Junior Honor Society
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) recognizes and promotes middle school students who excel in five areas: scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. Owl's Production Multimedia
Owls Production Studio is a multimedia club for middle school students interested in film, video, media, broadcasting, and equipment operation. Students will learn the full production process, from storyboarding and scriptwriting to filming, editing, and showcasing original content. They’ll take on a variety of roles including directing, camera operation, lighting, audio engineering, set design, costume and prop coordination, on-camera performance, and basic podcasting and interview work. The club also offers opportunities to participate in contests, share projects with the school community, and build real-world skills in storytelling, collaboration, and media production.

Science Fair
The Science Fair Club is for middle and high school students interested in scientific research and innovation. Members design and carry out independent projects, develop presentation skills, and prepare for local and regional science fairs. It's a great opportunity to explore advanced topics, build your resume, and connect with others who are passionate about science.
Clubs meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 to 4:30 pm in the high school STEM lab. Wednesdays will be focused on middle school students, and Thursdays will be for high school students. Both days will allow for open lab time regardless of grade level.

Student Government
The Student Government Association (SGA) is a student-led organization that empowers students to develop leadership skills, represent their peers, and contribute positively to the school community. The purpose of the SGA is to promote school spirit, encourage student involvement, support community service initiatives, and organize fundraising events. Through elected leadership and active participation, SGA members learn valuable lessons in responsibility, collaboration, communication, and civic engagement.
SGA leaders are expected to serve as role models who uphold academic integrity and demonstrate positive character traits (character counts). All members are required to attend meetings regularly and fulfill the duties of their position throughout the school year. Leadership roles are open to students in grades 6–8, with officer elections taking place after students have attended at least three meetings.

Yearbook Club is for creative and reliable students who want to help design and produce the 2025–2026 school yearbook.
